A path to traction for everyone!

The automotive industry is evolving at a rapid pace. New cars are rolling off the lot with very sophisticated electrical control systems and many of the vehicle functions are managed for you. Traction control often goes without notice because the vehicle only loses traction on slippery surfaces. This is where our aftermarket people get left out. The modifications soon produce enough power in some cars to cause traction problems on dry surfaces that the original traction control system cannot handle and the vehicle will either spin the tires too much or fall on its face because too much power was cut back.

The Overkill Traction Control system works by limiting the amount of power to the rear wheels to prevent spinning out, but not so much so that the car does not accelerate as fast as it possibly can.

There are many factors that determine the rate at which a car can accelerate. This system does the job of making the most traction from the equipment available.

Wheel slip is adjusted via a dial. This dial sets the slip allowance of the rear tires before power is modulated. Modulation occurs to maintain traction.
